Please note: This qualification focuses on the early childhood services sector. 

You will learn how to implement planned education programs, assist students with their learning and development, contribute to the safety and health of students, support students with additional needs and work effectively with culturally diverse students and colleagues.  

As part of this qualification, you will undertake work placement where you will be able to apply the skills and knowledge you have learned in a classroom setting. 

 

When you complete the Certificate II in Community Services you’ll be on your way to a career as a youth worker, support worker or family carer. You will gain the following skills:

  • how to manage workplace stress 
  • work with diverse people
